This is one of our favorite times of the year! The color of the leaves, the cool weather, the pumpkin farms and family time all bring out the best in this season. We've had some good times at local pumpkin farms, celebrating Luke's Birthday and adding to the family with a new pup!
Time is flying by now that Halloween is next week and pretty soon it will be Thanksgiving and Christmas!
We celebrated Luke’s 1st Birthday this week! Ella, Kiley and I met up with everyone on Wednesday night at Red Robin for his Birthday Dinner! It was the first time we got to see Luke walk! Super Cute!
On Saturday, Aunt Lori and Uncle Joe threw a spectacular party for Luke! It was a Cowboy Theme and had great decorations, food, games and sweets! The pictures are up on Flickr! if you want to check them out!
On Thursday, 10/12, we welcomed a new addition to our family by bringing home a new puppy! His name is Teddy Graham Saip and he is a Peekapoo (Half Pekingese, Half Poodle). He’s already 5 months old and a perfect addition!
We weren’t thinking of getting a new dog but Beth happened to find him at the local pet store and fell in love. He has fit right in from the start and Gizmo has taken a liking to him. As I type this, they are wrestling in the background. Boys will be Boys!
We went to St. Louis over Labor Day weekend to spend time with Grandma for her 80th Birthday! It was a lot of fun and we sure did cram a lot into a quick weekend!
We left Friday around lunch and the trip seemed to take longer than usual for some reason. We still can’t figure out why it took 6 hours but it did. We had dinner at Grandma’s house and stayed with Aunt Teri for the weekend! Saturday, we had a party for Grandma at Aunt Teri’s and had a great time. Grandma was really happy we were all there! She was a little iffy on her gift which was golf lessons but she did enjoy the blown up photo of her playing golf at a Cousin’s reunion, her painting from Aunt Dena, and the other gifts!
We went to the Cardinals game that afternoon and were a little worried about the weather. It was 102 degrees out as we were getting to the game, but a storm came in and it dropped 30 degrees while we were there. So, it became a lot of fun hanging out in the stands (luckily, we were covered from the rain). Cardinals won 6-4!
Connor stayed back with Aunt Teri and slept for 4 hours! Aunt Teri was bummed she didn’t get to play with Connor. We had dinner when we got back and got ready for the next morning.
On Sunday, we went Apple Picking! We had never done that before and it was a lot of fun! Got some great photos of Connor eating an apple in the orchard! Had a family style lunch at a Hotel and headed home. We spent the afternoon hanging out at home with people taking turns seeing movies! Beth and I got to go see Crazy Stupid Love and it was a good choice!
On Monday, it was time to head home. We had breakfast at Grandma’s, packed up, said our goodbye’s and headed home! I’ve posted the pictures here!
Ella’s 6th Birthday was this past Wednesday! We surprised her with an outfit for her American Girl Doll and went get ice cream at Baskin Robbins! Today is her actual birthday party! It’s at the Dance Studio they take classes at and should be a lot of fun!
We certainly had a blast celebrating with Chris and Ashley last weekend! Kids did great and got some cute photos! My favorite part was the best man speech – killed it!
