    Black Friday

    Friday, November 27th, 2009

What a great Thanksgiving! We made it into St. Charles around 4:30pm yesterday and the girls did great in the car. We had great food waiting for us and the whole family was at Grandmas. We played a few games of Scrabble and had a great night.

The Seilers had to take off a little early for their second thanksgiving dinner at the country club but we will get to hang out with Sammy and Tanner all day today. I know Ella and Kiley love playing with the boys.

Ella is currently helping Grandma out with breakfast (animal pancakes)! She loves making animal pancakes and is now making a baby turtle. After breakfast, we are heading to the bowling alley so I can take Dad’s money. ;)

After bowling, it’s off to Aunt Teri’s for dinner and movies. She always has something up her sleeve so I’m sure it’s going to be a ton of fun!

    What a weekend!

    Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

It was another busy weekend for Team Saip!! Yesterday, we dropped the Pilot off for new brakes, had a dryer repair man come out to look at our dryer because it is turning blue, and had the girl’s new furniture delivered. All of this before noon while we cleaned the whole house and got everything ready for today’s festivities. The furniture looks so nice in the girl’s room. We then went over to Debbie’s house to help her move a few things for her new carpet to be installed (well Matt helped anyway). We stopped at a few more places and then went out to a yummy dinner at Del Torros. The sucky part was that we waited almost an hour for a table. Good thing Kiley was a trooper.

Today we had family over to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early. It was my second attempt ever at making a turkey (last Thanksgiving was the first), and it turned out well. I made Aunt Eve’s stuffing again this year, and it was so good! Everyone brought stuff, and we ended up with enough food to feed an army as usual. The grandmas brought fun Christmas ornaments for the girls to make for their new pink Christmas tree that Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Mark got for them. It looks adorable in their new room.

Matt also went to pick up the rest of the bedding that finally came in today. The baby’s bedding looks awesome in his room. I don’t think we even need to paint the room. Woo hoo! I was so happy that we got Ella’s bedding too for their first night sharing a room. Should be intersting in the morning. I am guessing that they will be up as soon as the sun comes up.

Tomorrow we have our 32 week Dr. appointment. I can’t believe we only have 7 more weeks from this friday til our son is born Crazy! Only a day and a half (2 and a half for Matt) of work this week,  and then we are off to St. Louis for a few days to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Saips! It is always a great time when we go there!

Never a dull moment around here! I might need to be carried up the stairs tonight considering how tired I am at this point…but it was worth it! We had another great weekend! Now it’s time to relax and watch this Bears game…let’s hope they can redeem themselves and pull out a win!

    Monday Morning Commute

    Monday, November 16th, 2009

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent Friday night working late. Thanks again guys for sticking it out an getting everything up to speed (you know who you are)!

Saturday, I spent the day up in Madison with Fletch. The Badgers worked Michigan. It was a great game to be at. Beth and the girls did some shopping and cleaned out Ella’s room to prepare for the furniture move on Sunday. I was home by 7pm from Madison and we finished getting the house ready.

On Sunday, we moved out Ella’s furniture with the help of Eric and Donnie! Afterwards, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. Love that place! We watched football, Grandma Debbie stopped by, went grocery shopping and called it a night.

The Colts played a great game to beat the Patriots. Hopefully, the Bears will bounce back and be able to compete with the Eagles next weekend.

This week is going to be a quick week hopefully! We will be picking up the bedding we ordered, ordering a twin matress and having the furniture delivered on Saturday. We will be having family over on Sunday so I’m sure we will be prepping for that as well. A little pre-thanksgiving celebration if you will :)

    Posts from my iPhone!

    Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

On the train today, I took a minute to see if there was an app for wordpress and of course there was! I’m now able to write blog posts on the go. When I told Beth this, she said it’s time for her to get an iPhone.

I think she feels left out! I’m going to take some time to really see what this app can do. I’ve added two photos from my phone as well. I want to see how they turn out from this app. :)

    Movie Night!

    Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Last night we decided to have a family movie night with Ella. After dinner, we went out to get a “surprise.” Ella was super excited and when we got to Best Buy she said she was going to close her eyes so I could pick out the surprise and show her. Well, she didn’t really do all of that but we went in and picked up Disney’s new movie UP. They had a deal running on this and Monsters, Inc. so I picked up both on Blu-ray. Ella was more excited about Monsters, Inc. but we ended up watching the new movie.

While in line, the cashier pulled a penny out from behind Ella’s ear and she was shocked that a penny came out from there and didn’t fall out on it’s own. When we got to the car, Ella was so happy she just wanted to show Mommy what the surprise was. We went home, took a bath, put Kiley to bed and then put on the movie.

The movie was great and looked awesome in 1080p on our tv. I love buying animated movies with our new set up. We made popcorn and Ella stayed up for the whole movie. It was 10 o’clock before it ended and that’s when we learned our valuable lesson – don’t let Ella stay up that late. When we were done, she wanted to go upstairs and watch another movie, then it was to read a book and so on. She wanted to keep going so when we said it was just time for bed because it was really late, she got upset. :(

So, now only movie nights will take place on the weekends a bit earlier than 8:30! If you haven’t seen the movie, Team Saip recommends it :)

Check back soon for more updates and pics from the Bears game on Sunday (I left my camera in Allison’s car).

    Great Day!

    Saturday, November 7th, 2009

Today was a great day weather wise and Team Saip did a ton of stuff! First, we went to pre-bowl for my league in Hoffman Estates. Ella, Kiley and Beth got in on the action and bowled a game too. I didn’t do too bad but could have done better. It’s always interesting trying to pre-bowl and keep a good pace going.

After that, we came home and ate lunch. The girls took a nap and then it was off to Scott and Ann’s. We have a great visit and Julia is adorable. Check out the pics!

It’s off to bed now to get up early for the Bears Game! We are dropping the girls off at Grandpa Lee and Grandma Sue’s bright and early. Then it’s off to tailgate with Allison and Donnie! GO BEARS!

I’ll leave you with this video!
