Busy Busy

Well, we have done a lot in the past few weeks! Beth turned 30, Ella turned 5 and started kindergarten! We enjoyed ourselves at Dan and Sarah's wedding this past weekend as well! They are off to Aruba and we are jealous! We loved our honeymoon and would do it all over again!

Labor Day Weekend will bring us to St. Louis to visit the family and head to a Cardinals game! Hopefully they will start playing better ball leading up to our game! Check back soon for more updates!

    9/5/10 – Reds (2) vs. Cardinals (4)

We hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend! I know Team Saip did! We enjoyed a quick weekend in St. Louis to catch a Cardinals game. The Cardinals took 2 out of 3 from the 1st place Reds. We saw a great game that didn’t go 20 innings! Matt Holliday hit a 3-Run Homerun to win it for the Cardinals! That’s what the Reds get for walking Pujols to put two men on.

Also, we had a great time crashing at Aunt Teri and Uncle Tom’s house and spending time with all of the family! Ella and Kiley had a blast playing with Great Grandma, Sam and Tanner. This morning, Ella said she didn’t want to come back home today! Here is the link to photos from this weekend!

Now, it’s on to the work week. Atleast, it’s a quick 4 day week!

Check back soon for more updates and pictures!

    Cardinals Weekend!

    Sunday, July 25th, 2010

    07/24/10 – Cardinals (5) vs. Cubs (6)

This post is a little late but I wanted to still put it up! We had a great weekend in July when the Cardinals were in town playing the Cubs! On Saturday, July 24th, we threw our 2nd Annual Cubs/Cardinals viewing party at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville. We had a smaller crowd than last year but the new faces certainly made it a great time! The Cubs ended up winning the game but it didn’t matter we still had a great time! Tom, Austin, Keith, Chris and Amanda were all introduced to the family shot!

    Family Shot!

Special thanks to the everyone who helped with watching the kids for us! Kiley was in Madison, WI with Grandpa Lee and Grandma Sue. Ella was at a Baby Shower with Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Mark. Connor was at home with Grandma Debbie!

    07/25/10 – Cardinals (4) vs. Cubs (3)

The very same weekend a few of us from the Sports Department at Americaneagle.com headed to the Sunday Night game! We have seats in the left field bleachers first row! It was a great game with the Cardinals winning it in extra innings with a HR by Felipe Lopez! I was hoping to get on TV but didn’t seem to. I did catch a glimpse of us in highlight video on MLB.com for Pujols HR. You have to look close at the end of the clip in the upper left corner. There is a fan in a cardinals hat with his arms spread out talking crap to the guys he’s with! That would be me!!!

    Last Weekend!

    Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

It’s Thursday and I can’t wait for the weekend. I’m on the train on the way to the office and was thinking about last weekend again. What a great few days off! Allison and Donnie’s wedding was perfect! We are so happy for them!

This time last week, Beth and I were able to enjoy a lunch together at The Onion Pub in Barrington. We then hung out with Ben, Jess and Makayla (who is so stinkin’ adorable). That night, Beth and I went to see Daughtry at the Sears Centre. It’s a great little venue and Daughtry always puts on a great show. He played a few 80’s covers which is always fun! We ran into Candi, Pat, Jess and Mark at the show as well. Good catching up with them even if it was only for a few minutes.

Friday, it was a day with the guys. Todd, Ben, Makayla (only girl allowed) and I went to get our Tuxes and hung out at Rookies in Elgin. $1 burgers, can’t beat that! Cardinals took it to the Cubs so it was a lot of fun. It’s not everday your starting pitcher gets pulled before the recording an out. After Rookies, we had The Saips over for a BBQ! Good times the day before the wedding. Aunt Dena spent the night and we stayed up way too late catching up.

Saturday was a crazy morning in dropping of all the kids, getting hair done and heading to the hotel/cottage by noon. Beth and I split up to be apart of the bride and grooms parties leading up to the wedding. The ceremony was really well done and Allison looked beautiful! It’s was a bit hot but totally worth it. The reception was a ton of fun and Connor actually slept in his pack n play near the dance floor music blaring and all. He’s a trooper!

Again, big thanks to each family member that helped out with the kids. Beth and I were really able to enjoy ourselves and I know each of you really enjoyed your time with the kids!

Sunday was spent picking up the kids and hanging out at the Shepley’s and O’neill’s. Nothing like a final get together after the wedding! It was fun to hear the bride and grooms take on the festivities.

Monday was a lazy day with us watching movies all morning. Ella and I went and saw the new Shrek movie in 3D. It was a lot better than the 3rd Shrek but still not the same as the first two.

Only a few more days in the office and it’s the weekend! As you can probably tell, we can’t wait!

Check back soon for more updates and pictures from this upcoming weekends festivities – Donny’s Birthday and Connor’s first Sox game!

    20 innings later…

    Sunday, April 18th, 2010

    4/17/10 – Mets (2) @ Cardinals (1) – 20 innings!

What a game! Connor’s first game at Busch Stadium is one to remember for sure! We got to the ballpark on Saturday around 2:30 and were full of excitement! Our seats were first row of section 339. The kids had a great time watching the game, playing with Nana and eating peanuts! The first 6 or 7 innings were pretty uneventful so the kids got a bit restless. We got some food for them and were able to keep the interested for a few more innings! Ella and I wore our rally caps when we had bases loaded hoping for a run in the bottom of the 8th or 9th. It didn’t help but was fun!

We went into extra innings and had the bases loaded again in the bottom of the 12th or 13th. The Cardinals kept their pitcher in to bat with bases loaded and that didn’t end well… no runs again… So, we decided we had enough seeing as it was already 7:30ish and getting chilly. We drove back to grandma’s and listened to the game on the radio. We got home around 8:15ish and they were in the 16th inning. So, we watched the game and caught all the excitement in the 19th and 20th.

It was like batting practice with two of the Cardinals position players pitching and actually getting people out. Yadiar Molina tied up the game in the bottom of the 19th but the Mets scored in the top of the 20th and we couldn’t score to keep the game going. So, Connor’s first game was more like 2+ games in one. More on the game here!

Be sure to check out the photos from our quick trip to St. Louis!

    My 1st Game!!!
