    Sox Win!

    6/6/10 – White Sox (8) vs. Indians (7)

This past Sunday, we took Jake and Connor to their first Sox Game! It was really for Uncle Donny’s birthday and boy did we all have a good time! The Sox won the game 8-7 and we got a few pics with Connor’s new buddy – Southpaw! We got to the parking lot around 11am after a rough patch in the car with Connor getting hungry all of a sudden. The little brat did it too on the way home! Cooked brats, played bags and enjoyed the beautiful weather! The game was a great one with Konerko hitting a HR right when we got to our seats in the bottom of the first. Quentin won it for us in the bottom of the 7th.

Overall, great game and good times with family and friends! Can’t wait to do it again as I think our next game is at the end of July with the family at a Schaumburg Flyers game. Oh yeah, don’t mind the Cardinals hat in the pics (I need to get a Sox hat).

    Last Weekend!

    Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

It’s Thursday and I can’t wait for the weekend. I’m on the train on the way to the office and was thinking about last weekend again. What a great few days off! Allison and Donnie’s wedding was perfect! We are so happy for them!

This time last week, Beth and I were able to enjoy a lunch together at The Onion Pub in Barrington. We then hung out with Ben, Jess and Makayla (who is so stinkin’ adorable). That night, Beth and I went to see Daughtry at the Sears Centre. It’s a great little venue and Daughtry always puts on a great show. He played a few 80′s covers which is always fun! We ran into Candi, Pat, Jess and Mark at the show as well. Good catching up with them even if it was only for a few minutes.

Friday, it was a day with the guys. Todd, Ben, Makayla (only girl allowed) and I went to get our Tuxes and hung out at Rookies in Elgin. $1 burgers, can’t beat that! Cardinals took it to the Cubs so it was a lot of fun. It’s not everday your starting pitcher gets pulled before the recording an out. After Rookies, we had The Saips over for a BBQ! Good times the day before the wedding. Aunt Dena spent the night and we stayed up way too late catching up.

Saturday was a crazy morning in dropping of all the kids, getting hair done and heading to the hotel/cottage by noon. Beth and I split up to be apart of the bride and grooms parties leading up to the wedding. The ceremony was really well done and Allison looked beautiful! It’s was a bit hot but totally worth it. The reception was a ton of fun and Connor actually slept in his pack n play near the dance floor music blaring and all. He’s a trooper!

Again, big thanks to each family member that helped out with the kids. Beth and I were really able to enjoy ourselves and I know each of you really enjoyed your time with the kids!

Sunday was spent picking up the kids and hanging out at the Shepley’s and O’neill’s. Nothing like a final get together after the wedding! It was fun to hear the bride and grooms take on the festivities.

Monday was a lazy day with us watching movies all morning. Ella and I went and saw the new Shrek movie in 3D. It was a lot better than the 3rd Shrek but still not the same as the first two.

Only a few more days in the office and it’s the weekend! As you can probably tell, we can’t wait!

Check back soon for more updates and pictures from this upcoming weekends festivities – Donny’s Birthday and Connor’s first Sox game!

Shes having a blast! Too Cute!

She's having a blast! Too Cute!

It’s Friday. Phew… Ella and Kiley were able to hang out with Grandma Marsha and Jill this afternoon at Pump It Up! Ella had a blast and Kiley is still a bit young for the place. I heard Jill had an interesting time keeping up with Kiley seeing as how she is ready to burst :) . After picking up the girls, we ordered chinese food for dinner and cleaned up a bit. Ella is spending the weekend with her Dad. It’s always tough when she goes and I think Kiley is starting to pick up on it. We mentioned Ella’s name after she left and she pointed to the door and was showing us where Ella went. This should be interesting in a year when Kiley really gets it.

I’m in the process of posting photos to Flickr. We have photos to post from our Door County trips as well as a video from tonight. Kiley got down to Beyonce’s – “All the Single Ladies.”

There are some really cute photos from Door County. I’ve added a few to the main image area on this site. Here is a link to Grandma Sue’s photos on Picasa.

Also, the White Sox scored a great pitcher today with dealing for Jake Peavy! Go Sox! And, Bear training camp started today! Check out what we put together for the Bears and their Camp Coverage.

Here is a video of Kiley feeding the ducks in Door County!

Here is the video of Kiley dancing tonight! Too Cute. I even sing a little… :)
