Busy Busy

Well, we have done a lot in the past few weeks! Beth turned 30, Ella turned 5 and started kindergarten! We enjoyed ourselves at Dan and Sarah's wedding this past weekend as well! They are off to Aruba and we are jealous! We loved our honeymoon and would do it all over again!

Labor Day Weekend will bring us to St. Louis to visit the family and head to a Cardinals game! Hopefully they will start playing better ball leading up to our game! Check back soon for more updates!

    FAIL

    Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

It’s Tuesday and I’m on the train to work. I haven’t taken the train in about a week and after an expensive parking ticket, I’m going to be taking it more again. Good Times!

Team Saip had a great weekend! We were able to spend the weekend with Nana and Papa and had a blast. All the ladies enjoyed Allison’s Bridal Shower (every time I type that I always think Baby Shower and have to stop myself). However, Beth forgot our camera so we only have a few pics from the Shower. FAIL.

Other than that, I had a great time out with the Boros clan Saturday afternoon. We had the Saips over after the shower and watched the movie Hachi. It’s based on a true story about a Dog and his Master (Richard Gere). Ella loved it and has watched it a few times since.

On Sunday, we had breakfast with Nana and Papa (actually, the whole gang came) and did some stuff around the house. It was a quiet afternoon until the dog got under the fence and Kiley got up from her nap (wetting the bed).

This week is off to a good start with work and hopefully is a quick one. We have many plans this weekend for Easter and it can’t come soon enough! Grandma Debbie’s on Saturday and Aunt Eve’s on Sunday!

Check back soon for a link to all of the professional photos we had taken! I’ve got 300+ posted to Kodak and will post the link later today.

    Day Two!

    Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Just an update from the hospital – Connor is doing great! He didn’t sleep much throughout the night but that’s ok. Mommy did a great job taking care of him and I got a little bit of sleep.

He just got back in the room from becoming a little man (if you get the hint)! He’s being a trooper so far and even got a hearing test and a shot. No screaming so far that is until I just moved his leggers.

Mommy is going to be able to take a shower soon and then I’m going to meet up with the girls for lunch. They sounded like they are having a blast but we still miss them horribly!

A few friends and family will be stopping by this afternoon. It should be a great day her in the hospital and hopefully Connor will just sleep off what he just went through.

During the day, I went and saw the girls with Grandma Debbie. We ate pizza, played at home for a little bit and even got on an iChat with Beth in the hospital. The girls were able to see Mommy and Connor thru the computer. They loved it! We will do another one today so that they feel like they are a part of the experience. I’m sure they will be ready to come home with us on Monday!

Connor did end up doing great yesterday but there were a few rough patches. It seemed like he was in pain around 8pm so we got him some more Tylenol and even gave him some formula. Beth even had a few moments of pain as well but we were able to take care of that with a walk in the hallways and ice packs. We think she might have done a little too much yesterday.

Uncle John, Aunt Jill and Aunt Lissie all stopped by and we had a good time watching football and hanging out. I’ve updated some pictures @Flickr from yesterday! Check back for more updates!!!

    Connor’s Birthday!

    Friday, January 15th, 2010

Connor Lee Saip arrived today at 12:46pm. He is 8lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. We are so blessed to have him here with us now! Thank you to everyone for their help today and this weekend. We are grateful for everyone’s help with Ella and Kiley! It’s strange not having the girls with us this weekend but it’s what we have to do so we will make the best of it.

Beth and baby are doing great right now and he is nursing at the moment. He has also been sleeping in his crib as opposed to on Mommy or me. We want him to be able to sleep in his crib so that we don’t have him in bed with us unless it’s necessary. We learned from Kiley Bug!

It was great to see everyone who made it out today and look forward to seeing more people this weekend! Check out the posted pics here for a glimpse of Connor Lee Saip!

    Little more than 12 hours

    Friday, January 15th, 2010

Well it’s the night before Connor’s birth and we are so excited. We spent tonight dropping off the car with car seats at Aunt Lori’s and we went to Wal-Mart for last minute items. We realized we didn’t have food in the house for when we come home.

The girls bags are all packed and they are fast asleep. They won’t be able to visit us while we are in the hospital which completely stinks. It’s going to be the strangest feeling not being able to take pics with the girls until Monday. They will have a blast though with Aunt Eve on Friday, Aunt Lori Friday night overnight, Grandma Debbie on Saturday and Grandma Marsha on Sunday. They will be completely spoiled and we are really blessed to have such great family!!!

We will be getting up around 7am tomorrow to get ready and be at Aunt Eve’s by 9ish. We will be at the hospital by 10 and surgery is at noon. Visiting hours are until 8pm and we are always up for visitors. Feel free to text or call my cell on Friday if you want before coming up.

I will be posting updates on the blog throughout the day. Pics will come along as well. I really want to post a video of the girls leaving a message to Connor before he is here in the morning. So check back tomorrow and thru the weekend for all sorts of updates!
