    1/23/11 – Packers (21) vs. Bears (14)

2010 NFC Championship Game between the Packers and the Bears. Two storied football teams and one of the biggest games Chicago had ever seen. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go to the game after getting a call from a friend with tickets. They were face value in Section 125, couldn’t beat that! Leading up to the game, I had mixed emotions because I wasn’t sure which team would show up on offense for the Bear. Boy, were my worries answered on the first drive. The Packers marched right down the field, 20 yards a chunk. 7-0 Packers in the first few minutes of the game. Sigh. The game only got worse from there it seemed offensively. Cutler got hurt in the 2nd quarter and was pulled after the first series in the 3rd. No one in the stadium knew what was happening with him and really didn’t want to see Todd Collins in there. Hanie came in after two series and that’s when the game got fun! Hanie and the team made a game of it in the 4th quarter and that’s when it was really a championship game. The crowd was in it, the team was playing very well and I had lost my voice :)

At the end of the day, we didn’t beat the Packers for the second time in a few weeks. They were the better team that day and deserve to be heading to the Super Bowl! Beth and I had a great time experiencing a NFC Championship game but I wish the outcome was a bit different (as I’m sure all Bears fans do)!

Here is a great video on all of the backlash Cutler was receiving after getting injured and pulled out by the medical staff. Check it out if you are a Bears fan! Might soften the blow a little!

Oh and by the way, GO STEELERS!!!

    Happy Anniversary!

    Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

Today, Beth and I have been married for 2 years! Grandma Saip sent a card and said 60 years would be here before we knew it! They are too cute!

We spent the weekend with the kids and family. Friday night, we grilled out and played outside. On Saturday, we went to the eye dr and visited with Grandma Marsha. Today, we went to the petting zoo, Rookies for lunch and to Randy’s for a few rides with Grandma Debbie. Now, it’s time to sit down and watch the Bears take on the NY Giants! Thanks to all who wished us a Happy Anniversary! We have the best family and friends!

    Christmas Photos!

    Friday, December 11th, 2009

We took our family pictures on Monday and I wanted to post a few here while I had a minute. It’s been a busy week to say the least at work! This weekend should be a lot of fun. We have the AE Christmas Party tomorrow night and the Bears play the Packers on Sunday. I’m not sure if I should be really excited about the game because we’ve been playing so poorly but it’s always a big game against the Pack!

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday!

Before the Tree was put up!

Before the Tree was put up!

We set up our Christmas Tree tonight and the girls loved it. I realized once the kids were in bed that I didn’t take enough pictures (which is a first). I only have one from before we started. It’s cute none the less. The girls are loving this time of year and it will be here before we know it.

Before Christmas though is my 29th birthday! Yikes! For all of you laughing right now that I’m getting older, just remember you are either my same age or older! So, me turning 29 only means you are just as old or older :)

Tomorrow we are heading to watch the Bears Game at Gold Class Theaters in Barrington with John and Jill. It’s free to get in and probably the best theater ever to watch a movie or a game. Allison and Donnie have been a few times this year and have loved watching the game there. I know, you wonder why we watch the Bears if they are this bad right now. We can’t give up on them and it’s a good reason to sit in the comfiest chairs ever!

I’m not sure what we will be up to after the game tomorrow. I know that we still have some shopping to do before our family Christmas pictures are taken on Monday Night. I don’t think Beth knows what she is going to wear. After that, we will need to get our Christmas cards ready and sent out. It’s going to be really cool in a few years to see each years Christmas cards. The Osol’s hang each years Christmas cards in their living room and it’s always cool to see every year.

Be sure to check out this awesome video of Kiley on the train at the zoo in St. Louis! We finally got her on film saying “AHHHHH BOOO!”

Check back soon for more updates!

    Happy Halloween!

    Sunday, November 1st, 2009

We hope everyone had a great Halloween! The girls had a blast this year dressing up and trick or treating! It was fun because they were both really into it this year. Ella was a candy corn witch and Kiley was “naughty and nice” in other words half angel/half devil.  We spent the day at Aunt Lori and Uncle Joe’s house with family (Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Mark, Grandma Debbie, Uncle John, Aunt Jill, Jake, Aunt Lori, Uncle Joe, Aunt Bonnie, and Uncle Dwayne). It was tons of fun! The neighborhood was hopping, and trick or treating was a blast! Ella had to have a conversation with just about everyone who’s house she went up to. It was hilarious. Kiley pooped out a little earlier than Ella, but she was having a great time running up to houses….Ella could have gone all night probably. We had a lot of great food, and too much candy!

Today, we are watching the Bears game at home, and then heading out to Caleb’s birthday party. Another busy weekend! Which is pretty much the norm for Team Saip!

Coming up… next weekend we have a visit with Scott and Ann to finally meet Julia, and going to the Bears game on Sunday. Then its off to Wisconsin to see Flecth and Ashley the following weekend. I believe we do not actually have anything definitely planned the weekend after that. Then we head off to ST. Louis for Thanksgiving. Should be another busy month! Time is flying and baby Saip will be here before we know it!

    ITS A BOY!!!

    Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

We would like to officially announce that we are having a baby BOY!!! We couldn’t be more excited about the addition of a little man to our family! I kind of had a feeling all along that it was a boy, but it is so great to finally know for sure! We feel truly blessed to have 2 beautiful little girls and to now be expecting a healthy baby boy!!! No, we don’t have a name picked out yet, but it won’t be too much longer until we do I’m sure. Of course we would have been happy with a little girl too, but it feels perfect to be having a son to complete our family! I haven’t decided if I am ready for a little boy, but guess I have to be huh!!! I know it will be completely different. Jill laughs at me every time I change Jake’s diaper.

Matt can’t wait to have a side kick to terrorize this house (as he says). We will have a Cardinals/Bears/Sox fan on our hands for sure! He can’t wait to teach him all about sports! My house might be over run with sports gear!!!

Thank you to everyone for your overwhelming congratulations!!! We really appreciate that you all are just as excited as we are! We can’t wait until January!!!
