    Last Weekend!

    Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

It’s Thursday and I can’t wait for the weekend. I’m on the train on the way to the office and was thinking about last weekend again. What a great few days off! Allison and Donnie’s wedding was perfect! We are so happy for them!

This time last week, Beth and I were able to enjoy a lunch together at The Onion Pub in Barrington. We then hung out with Ben, Jess and Makayla (who is so stinkin’ adorable). That night, Beth and I went to see Daughtry at the Sears Centre. It’s a great little venue and Daughtry always puts on a great show. He played a few 80′s covers which is always fun! We ran into Candi, Pat, Jess and Mark at the show as well. Good catching up with them even if it was only for a few minutes.

Friday, it was a day with the guys. Todd, Ben, Makayla (only girl allowed) and I went to get our Tuxes and hung out at Rookies in Elgin. $1 burgers, can’t beat that! Cardinals took it to the Cubs so it was a lot of fun. It’s not everday your starting pitcher gets pulled before the recording an out. After Rookies, we had The Saips over for a BBQ! Good times the day before the wedding. Aunt Dena spent the night and we stayed up way too late catching up.

Saturday was a crazy morning in dropping of all the kids, getting hair done and heading to the hotel/cottage by noon. Beth and I split up to be apart of the bride and grooms parties leading up to the wedding. The ceremony was really well done and Allison looked beautiful! It’s was a bit hot but totally worth it. The reception was a ton of fun and Connor actually slept in his pack n play near the dance floor music blaring and all. He’s a trooper!

Again, big thanks to each family member that helped out with the kids. Beth and I were really able to enjoy ourselves and I know each of you really enjoyed your time with the kids!

Sunday was spent picking up the kids and hanging out at the Shepley’s and O’neill’s. Nothing like a final get together after the wedding! It was fun to hear the bride and grooms take on the festivities.

Monday was a lazy day with us watching movies all morning. Ella and I went and saw the new Shrek movie in 3D. It was a lot better than the 3rd Shrek but still not the same as the first two.

Only a few more days in the office and it’s the weekend! As you can probably tell, we can’t wait!

Check back soon for more updates and pictures from this upcoming weekends festivities – Donny’s Birthday and Connor’s first Sox game!

    Happy Birthday Makayla!

Team Saip wanted to take a minute and wish a very special niece a Happy First Birthday! We hear that she is walking now and can’t wait to see pics/videos. I believe her first birthday party is this weekend and we will have to give her a call and sing Happy Birthday to her.

We hope she has a great day today and this weekend at her party!

    Love,
    Team Saip

    My beautiful Niece!

    My beautiful Niece!

I just wanted to take a few minutes and post some items that haven’t made it up on the site yet. Here are some photos from the Daughtry Concert as well as when Ben and Jessy were in town! The concert was great and I have some videos you might want to check out if you are a fan of Daughtry. We would like to see him again but on his Fall Tour he won’t be coming to Chicago. I’ve heard this is the second time he has done that.

Anywho, there is also a cute video of Kiley playing outside and a video of Brian (cousin) putting his face in a cake. I paid him 5 bucks to do it and it was so worth it! We had a great time hanging out with Ben and Jessy along with a tons of Family last weekend. Wish they lived back in IL but they should be moving back soon!

As for today, I’m going to be spending some time working this morning to make sure a project I’ve been working on goes live on Thursday! It’s shaping up nicely. Beth took the girls to her Kid’s Therapy Baseball Game this morning and then they are off to a slew of errands. Hopefully, Beth doesn’t wear herself out too much today as tonight is going to be amazing.

I’m going to straighten up the house a bit and then we will be taking Ella to her first Chicago Bears Game for her Birthday! I can’t wait to go tonight. We were able to get Field Passes for the game and I’m SUPER EXCITED for that! Grandpa Lee will be joining us and I can’t wait! I think I’ll say it one more time – I CAN’T WAIT!!!

One last item before I go, while I was working yesterday a friend let me know on a little secret – the Cardinals are 7 games up on the Cubbies! HA HA HA HA. I haven’t had the chance to follow lately and I definitely know why the Cubby fans have been quite lately. GO CARDINALS!

Enjoy these photos and check back soon!

    Kiley at her finest!

    8/15

    Sunday, August 16th, 2009

We just had a great day with family and friends. We spent the afternoon with Ben and Jessy and Grandma Peg’s house in Aurora. Ella had to go to her dad’s house for the night and her birthday party tomorrow with the Zahn’s. We had a great afternoon hanging out with our niece and nephew. I’m going to post pictures in the morning from today. I’ve also got pics from last weekend to post.

We were able to watch the Bears game as well. There wasn’t a whole lot going on with Cutlers debut. Oh Well, GO BEARS!

In the meantime, I’ve got a music video from Paramore to post! ENJOY!

    Another great weekend!

    Monday, July 27th, 2009

Well we had another great weekend! This time we were in Door County with Lee and Sue. What a beautiful place to be! We were so lucky to get to stay at a great house that was owned by some wonderful people that Lee and Sue go to church with. The girls even got to go up there Thursday morning with Grandma and Grandpa. Lee and Sue were very brave! Thanks again for that you guys!

We got to do some traditional Door County things and eat lots of food while we were up there for our short trip. Some of those things included: climbing a big tower in Penisula State Park to see the most beautiful view of the entire area; going to Wilson’s for some yummy lunch and ice cream, going shopping at a bunch of little gift shops, going to a traditional fish boil, out to breakfastat Al Johnson’s with the goats on the roof, and grabbing a bunch of candy at the confectionary. It was a blast! Gizmo had a great time with Auntie Allison and Uncle Donnie at their house in Elgin while we were away. Allison doesn’t know if Gizmo ever sleeps :)

Now its back to reality once again. August is sure to busy a very busy month! First baby Jake is going to arrive on or before 8/4. Jill is being induced on 8/4 if he isn’t here by then. We have birthdays galore with my Mom, Jessy, Nathan, Ben, Me, my Dad, Uncle Mike, Ella, and anyone else that I may have missed. We also have Drew’s wedding, the Daughtry concert, Ben and Jessy and Makayla’s visit, and Ella’s birthday party (which we haven’t really planned yet).  All of this while Matt has one of the busiest months ever at work!!! Its sure to be crazy!

    Stay Tuned!

    Smile Everyone!

Here is a quick photo of the girls after getting ready this morning! We are headed to Arlington Park and they look adorable. Should be a great day!

Hope everyone has a great Father’s Day! Especially – Grandpa Lee, Grandpa Saip, Grandpa Mark, Grandpa Windheim, Ben, John, Derrik, and all of our friends who have kids. We can’t list all of them here :)
