    All Star Game!

    Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

We just got home a few hours ago from a really great trip to St. Louis for the HR Derby and All Star game. I’ve uploaded a ton of photos from both of the events that we went to. The All Star game was amazing and we would recommend that if you ever have the opportunity to go to a game, take it! The pregame ceremonies were great. We got to see Obama, Stan Musial, and all the All Stars for MLB. We even caught glimpses of Snipers on the roof of the stadium. We especially enjoyed being able to share the night with Grandpa and Grandma Saip. It was great to get to go to the game with them. It definitely makes up for missing our World Series Game in ’04.

Take a few minutes to look through all of the pictures, you won’t be disappointed! Click Here.

Here are a couple video links too! Stan Musial Entrance | Obama Entrance (Intro) | Intro to Canadian National Anthem With the videos, I wasn’t sure how they would turn out or if I could post them so it’s just snippets. I didn’t realize they were doing the Canadian National Anthem next when I was filming but the drunk guys reaction was comical but unnecessary.

    4th of July!

    Saturday, July 4th, 2009

So, it’s the 4th already! We are getting ready to have  people over today for a bbq. It’s raining right now so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. The usual clan is heading over – Grandma Debbie, Grandma Marsha, Grandpa Mark, John, Jill, Jake (in womb), Donny, Derrik, Mary, Grayce, and Gretchen. Lauren and Robert (looks a lot like Eli Manning) from Beth’s work are coming as well! Happy 4th to all and look for pictures from today tomorrow!

As for yesterday, Ella and I spent the morning helping Ashley move out of the city. She is moving up to Madison to be with Fletcher. I still don’t know why… LOL. Ella was a great helper and Ashley’s mom gave her $10 because of how helpful she was. I’m thinking it’s because she’s too cute! After we got back from Chicago, Team Saip headed out to a festival in Crystal Lake. Kiley rode on the Ferris wheel at 17 Months Old! She has no fear and was just saying “Weeeeee” the whole time. Beth and I couldn’t believe it. We came home and spent the night getting ready for the party today. Cut the lawn, put up the pool, and played outside with the girls. It was a great time (except for mowing the lawn).

Big news in MLB, Pujols hit a grand slam (31st Homerun) as the Cardinals beat the Reds! Grandma and Grandpa Saip will get to see an awesome All Star game next weekend. Hopefully, we will be able to get the two extra tickets!

Here are some photos that John posted on Flickr from their baby shower! Here are photos from 7/3!

    One more day…

Who can work from home with Kiley :)

Who can work from home with Kiley :)

So, we only have one more day at work until the holiday weekend. I had to work from home today because we didn’t have a sitter for Kiley and she was really good. I only had to apologize on one call this morning with a client so I consider it a good day. Who can get any work done with this beautiful baby at home!?!

Ella has gotten to spend some quality time with grandma marsha this week. They went swimming today at an indoor pool near her house today. We can’t wait to see her tomorrow night and party!

During the work day, I got into an interesting conversation about Albert Pujols. He hit 2 home runs last night and deserves tons of credit for the first player in mlb history to hit 30 home runs in their first 9 seasons. So, I posted on twitter this update and it started conversation about steriods on facebook. You know, I get that he came up through the minors when people were using steroids. He is the one guy that I don’t suspect. But with the media today, everything is under scrutiny. You have to wonder about some guys out there in the majors but I feel Pujols is different. He has raw talent and has produced since day one. I might eat my words one day but I believe he is one of the players that didn’t take ‘roids. Go Cardinals!

The 4th is coming up soon and we realized we didn’t tell anyone that we will BBQ at our house on Saturday. Last years party was a blast so for those of you that would like to come out, please do so! I don’t think we will have the slip n slide but bags, beer and brats will be on tap! Hope to see you on Saturday!

    Beth can finally Post!

    Sunday, June 21st, 2009

Hey everyone! We had a great day today celebrating father’s day, and we hope you all did as well! Arlington Park started off interesting with the weather, but we were lucky to find a spot inside in the air conditioning for most of the day. We had a great time visiting with everyone and betting on ponies. We won a few races, but Grandpa Lee was the lucky one with his 8′s. After Arlington Park, we went out to dinner at Fridays. We are finally home, girls are in bed, mommy and daddy are relaxing now and watching Matt’s favorite movie of all time Ferris Bueller (on BluRay none the less).  And by the way, it doesn’t really look much better than the 1986 version.  I have to give a shout out to our Redbirds who happen to be a game and a half ahead in FIRST PLACE!  Well I hope everyone enjoys the new site. Look forward to more frequent posts from us with word press.

    Time to catch up…

    Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Ok, so I’m catching up on updating the website. Aunt Lora was in town for a little over a week towards the end of May. We had a few great visits at Aunt Eve’s house. That’s where the great swimming pictures are from. We had some great food and were able to spend some quality time with family at Aunt Eve’s. On Memorial Day, we took a trip up to Milwaukee and saw the Cardinals take on the Brewers. It was a ton of fun spending the day with Team Saip, Mom, Aunt Lori and Uncle Joe, Julie, John and Jill, The Elliott’s, and the Schohl’s. The Cardinals ended up losing 1-0 in the 10th.

Team Saip - Ella waving to Mommy!

On 5/30, Ella had her first dance recital and boy did she put on a show. Her group was on second and a few seconds into the song, Ella started peaking out into the crowd. During rehearsal, Ella was really excited that she spotted Mommy in the crowd. So, when she got out there during the dance she was trying to find Mommy in the same seat as the night before. In no time, Ella became a crowd sensation standing on stage trying to find Mommy and waving instead of dancing. She even tried to pull down her glasses to see if she could spot Mommy quicker. Ella did end up spotting Grandpa Zahn who was seated a few rows back from where Mommy was the night before. I also made my dancing debut with Ella later in the show. It was a great moment to share with Ella!

Ella started to take horse back riding lessons with Aunt Eve as well. For the summer, she will be in dance and have horse back riding lessons on Monday. We are going to have the kids in a lot of activities and it’s starting now! They are growing up way too quick. I’m going to try and update the site more frequently. Check back soon!

    Memorial Day Weekend…

    Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

    Team Saip - Go Redbirds!

Hope everyone has a GREAT Memorial Day Weekend! I’m sure everyone could use the time off as much as we could. This summer at AE is going to be insane so it should be good to spend time with family this weekend. Last night, AE had the annual Arlington Park outing and it was a blast. Have a RED Forehead to show for it!

As for the rest of our weekend, we are off to John and Jill’s for a BBQ this afternoon. Tomorrow we will be heading out to Aunt Eve’s to hang out with Aunt Lora as she’s in town. On Monday, Team Saip is heading up to Milwaukee for the Brewers / Cardinals game! Hopefully the Cardinals will hand it to the Brew Crew. They swept us a week ago and now we have won 4 in a row! GO CARDINALS!!!

Here are the lastest batch of photos posted on Kodak Gallery from April. I know we are behind.
