    Happy Birthday Grandma!

    Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

We went to St. Louis over Labor Day weekend to spend time with Grandma for her 80th Birthday! It was a lot of fun and we sure did cram a lot into a quick weekend!

We left Friday around lunch and the trip seemed to take longer than usual for some reason. We still can’t figure out why it took 6 hours but it did. We had dinner at Grandma’s house and stayed with Aunt Teri for the weekend! Saturday, we had a party for Grandma at Aunt Teri’s and had a great time. Grandma was really happy we were all there! She was a little iffy on her gift which was golf lessons but she did enjoy the blown up photo of her playing golf at a Cousin’s reunion, her painting from Aunt Dena, and the other gifts!

We went to the Cardinals game that afternoon and were a little worried about the weather. It was 102 degrees out as we were getting to the game, but a storm came in and it dropped 30 degrees while we were there. So, it became a lot of fun hanging out in the stands (luckily, we were covered from the rain). Cardinals won 6-4!

Connor stayed back with Aunt Teri and slept for 4 hours! Aunt Teri was bummed she didn’t get to play with Connor. We had dinner when we got back and got ready for the next morning.

On Sunday, we went Apple Picking! We had never done that before and it was a lot of fun! Got some great photos of Connor eating an apple in the orchard! Had a family style lunch at a Hotel and headed home. We spent the afternoon hanging out at home with people taking turns seeing movies! Beth and I got to go see Crazy Stupid Love and it was a good choice!

On Monday, it was time to head home. We had breakfast at Grandma’s, packed up, said our goodbye’s and headed home! I’ve posted the pictures here!

    Happy Anniversary!

    Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

Today, Beth and I have been married for 2 years! Grandma Saip sent a card and said 60 years would be here before we knew it! They are too cute!

We spent the weekend with the kids and family. Friday night, we grilled out and played outside. On Saturday, we went to the eye dr and visited with Grandma Marsha. Today, we went to the petting zoo, Rookies for lunch and to Randy’s for a few rides with Grandma Debbie. Now, it’s time to sit down and watch the Bears take on the NY Giants! Thanks to all who wished us a Happy Anniversary! We have the best family and friends!

    9/5/10 – Reds (2) vs. Cardinals (4)

We hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend! I know Team Saip did! We enjoyed a quick weekend in St. Louis to catch a Cardinals game. The Cardinals took 2 out of 3 from the 1st place Reds. We saw a great game that didn’t go 20 innings! Matt Holliday hit a 3-Run Homerun to win it for the Cardinals! That’s what the Reds get for walking Pujols to put two men on.

Also, we had a great time crashing at Aunt Teri and Uncle Tom’s house and spending time with all of the family! Ella and Kiley had a blast playing with Great Grandma, Sam and Tanner. This morning, Ella said she didn’t want to come back home today! Here is the link to photos from this weekend!

Now, it’s on to the work week. Atleast, it’s a quick 4 day week!

Check back soon for more updates and pictures!

    20 innings later…

    4/17/10 – Mets (2) @ Cardinals (1) – 20 innings!

What a game! Connor’s first game at Busch Stadium is one to remember for sure! We got to the ballpark on Saturday around 2:30 and were full of excitement! Our seats were first row of section 339. The kids had a great time watching the game, playing with Nana and eating peanuts! The first 6 or 7 innings were pretty uneventful so the kids got a bit restless. We got some food for them and were able to keep the interested for a few more innings! Ella and I wore our rally caps when we had bases loaded hoping for a run in the bottom of the 8th or 9th. It didn’t help but was fun!

We went into extra innings and had the bases loaded again in the bottom of the 12th or 13th. The Cardinals kept their pitcher in to bat with bases loaded and that didn’t end well… no runs again… So, we decided we had enough seeing as it was already 7:30ish and getting chilly. We drove back to grandma’s and listened to the game on the radio. We got home around 8:15ish and they were in the 16th inning. So, we watched the game and caught all the excitement in the 19th and 20th.

It was like batting practice with two of the Cardinals position players pitching and actually getting people out. Yadiar Molina tied up the game in the bottom of the 19th but the Mets scored in the top of the 20th and we couldn’t score to keep the game going. So, Connor’s first game was more like 2+ games in one. More on the game here!

Be sure to check out the photos from our quick trip to St. Louis!

    My 1st Game!!!

    FAIL

    Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

It’s Tuesday and I’m on the train to work. I haven’t taken the train in about a week and after an expensive parking ticket, I’m going to be taking it more again. Good Times!

Team Saip had a great weekend! We were able to spend the weekend with Nana and Papa and had a blast. All the ladies enjoyed Allison’s Bridal Shower (every time I type that I always think Baby Shower and have to stop myself). However, Beth forgot our camera so we only have a few pics from the Shower. FAIL.

Other than that, I had a great time out with the Boros clan Saturday afternoon. We had the Saips over after the shower and watched the movie Hachi. It’s based on a true story about a Dog and his Master (Richard Gere). Ella loved it and has watched it a few times since.

On Sunday, we had breakfast with Nana and Papa (actually, the whole gang came) and did some stuff around the house. It was a quiet afternoon until the dog got under the fence and Kiley got up from her nap (wetting the bed).

This week is off to a good start with work and hopefully is a quick one. We have many plans this weekend for Easter and it can’t come soon enough! Grandma Debbie’s on Saturday and Aunt Eve’s on Sunday!

Check back soon for a link to all of the professional photos we had taken! I’ve got 300+ posted to Kodak and will post the link later today.

Last night, Connor met Grandma and Grandpa Saip for the first time! There are some really great photos of them all together on Flickr! I’ve posted the best one below as Connor decided to smile a bit more last night and almost giggle!

    Smiling Baby!

    Smiling Baby!

The girls will be off to Auntie Allison’s Bridal Shower in Geneva. Hopefully, it’s a blast and the kids are well behaved! I’m going to spend time with the Boros Clan for Pat’s Birthday and then meet up with the fam at our house later this afternoon. Should be a great day!

Check back later for more photos and updates!
