Busy Busy

Well, we have done a lot in the past few weeks! Beth turned 30, Ella turned 5 and started kindergarten! We enjoyed ourselves at Dan and Sarah's wedding this past weekend as well! They are off to Aruba and we are jealous! We loved our honeymoon and would do it all over again!

Labor Day Weekend will bring us to St. Louis to visit the family and head to a Cardinals game! Hopefully they will start playing better ball leading up to our game! Check back soon for more updates!

    keeping score at home!

    Thursday, April 15th, 2010

After the first sporting event of the year, I thought it might be fun to have a category on the site dedicated to sporting events! This will serve as a reminder of the fun times Team Saip had at games this year. It will also help me remember who actually won the games!

    4/15/10 – Milwaukee Admirals (5) @ Chicago Wolves (6)

The Chicago Wolves beat the Admirals 6-5. It was the first playoff game for the Wolves in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs but the stadium was pretty empty! It was an exciting game in the last few minutes when the Admirals scored 2 quick goals to try and make a comeback. We saw one penalty shot as well as Chris Chelios on the ice for the Wolves. He played well except for letting in a goal for the Admirals late in the 3rd period. This was Ella’s first hockey game and she had fun with her friends. She did get a bit bored during the periods as we haven’t really followed hockey all that much. Derrik and Mary get us the tickets and we all had a great time. Thanks again guys!

    Go Wolves!

    16 Days

    Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

We have 16 days until Connor is here with us! We can’t wait! Beth and I have been stocking up on winter clothes and have one more Babies R Us run to make.

Did you know it’s super hard to find fleece sleepers in the stores? They’ve already starting putting out spring clothes. We need to get a lot of little stuff like bottles, bath tub, bibs, etc. How quickly we forget about all the stuff a newborn needs!

The hospital visitor restriction is still in place as we found out on Monday with Kiley’s test. This means the girls won’t be allowed in the hospital when Connor is born. It sucks! Hopefully, it will be lifted by the time we have him. We all know it’s to keep everyone healthy but boy does it stink that the girls won’t be able to see Connor until we bring him home. I think Beth is going to push to come home on Sunday instead of Monday knowing her.

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and we will have a few friends and family over to celebrate. I love this night because it’s fun letting the kids do whatever they want for the night. Looks like John, Jill, Jake, Steve, Amber, Derrik, Mary, Mary’s Sister and their two kids will all be coming over. It should be a blast!

Check back soon for more updates!

    Only 3 more months!

    Friday, October 16th, 2009

Matt and I had a great time in New York last weekend!!! It was not exactly a relaxing vacation, but it was nice to get away for a few days just the two of us! I think it will be a while before we get to do that again. Thanks again to everyone that helped with all of our kids to make that possible!!! We got to walk around Times Square, see Mary Poppins on Broadway, go to the Giants game, hang out in the West Village for a fancy dinner, walk through Central Park, see the Columbus Day parade, and walk up and down 5th ave/Park ave among many other things while we were there for 3 short days. All I know is that we came home way more exhausted than we were when we left. And everything in New York is really expensive!!! I don’t think I could live there, but it was so much fun to visit!!!

This weekend we have another busy couple of days planned. Tomorrow morning I am going out with Allison and all of her bridesmaids for lunch and dress shopping…should be tons of fun! Matt is hanging out with the girls and Grandma Debbie. We are then going to have a full house with Grayce and Gretchen joining us for the evening so that Derrik and Mary can enjoy a night out for their anniversary. The girls will love it! Sunday we are headed to Goebberts Pumpkin farm with family and friends for some fall festivities! The girls love the pumpkin farm! Ella starts dance class again on monday. Busy busy busy!!!

Only 3 more months until we have this little baby boy! This pregnancy is going so quickly. I am still feeling pretty good. Just starting to get a little more tired and sore by the end of the day. Really not too much to complain about, although, Matt might tell you that I do complain all of the time :) . The holidays are fast approaching so it will be January before we know it!
