    Disney on Ice

    Disney on Ice

Ok, so the past two weeks have flown by and now I’m back into the office bright and early tomorrow. The past two weeks have been amazing and have let us really come together as a family with our new little bundle of joy! We got to do a lot of cool stuff as a family the past two weeks and Connor fits right in! Be sure to check out all the photos and videos @Flickr!

This past weekend we had Grandpa Lee and Grandma Sue over to celebrate Christmas on Friday night. The girls got some really cool gifts that included an Air Hockey Table! It was a great night to celebrate the holidays. Check out the photos here!

On Saturday, we had a few visitors in the morning, dance class and the girls took off with Aunt Lori and Grandma Debbie to see Disney on Ice! The girls had a great time and even called to ask for to borrow my Credit Card… ha ha! The snow cones were $15 bucks! Check out the photos from Saturday here!

Today, we went out to lunch with John, Jill, Jake and Grandpa Mark. Ella is with her dad today for a quick visit and will be back tomorrow morning. Now, I think it’s off to the store to get some last minute stuff for this week and then we will watch the Grammys!

You should notice some new enhancements to the site with the sidebar. I’ve added a widget that pulls in the most recent 15 photos from flickr! It’s a nice little touch to the site and I’m always looking for more ideas so let me know! Also, added Tag You’re It to the sidebar so that you can filter all the posts by ones you have been tagged in! Have fun finding all the posts and reliving the memories that we have shared together since the blog started!

    Quiet Week at Home!

    Thursday, January 21st, 2010

It has been so nice being at home as a family all week! We have really enjoyed spending quality time with all of our kiddos! The girls are having a ball with their baby brother Connor. Ella is such a big helper! She has even been able to hold Connor all by herself with the boppy pillow for support. Kiley is loving on him too. She calls him “my baby bruder.” It is so cute! She has been a little overly emotional about everything. I think that is just her way of dealing with not being the baby anymore. She even climbed in my lap yesterday when Ella was holding Connor and curled up like a baby with a pretend pacifier and a blanket.

We ventured out into the outside world yesterday morning. We managed to get ourselves and all three kids ready and out the door by 10:15. It actually went pretty smoothly. We had Connor’s first Dr. appointment, and everything checked out well. He is now back up to 8 pounds 2 ounces. Almost back to his birth weight already. He eats like a champ!! He is a very healthy little boy!  We are so blessed!!

So far, Connor has been sleeping pretty well. Of course, we battle with the little guy because he wants to be held all of the time. We have started to be able to get him to sleep in the baby papasan chair for a short time during the day, and a very short time at night. We have graduated from sleeping ON US to sleeping in the boppy pillow next to me in bed. This is exactly how Kiley slept for the first 8 weeks. I always said that I would never have my babies sleep in my bed, but all three of them have at some point. I guess you have to do what you have to do to get a little sleep. He actually sleeps for about 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours at a time like this so I can’t complain too much.

Auntie Jill and Jakey came out yesterday afternoon to spend some time with us and to bring us dinner. Jill made yummy chicken tacos and we had a feast for dinner!! It was really fun to see Jakey and all of the new things he is doing this week. He is a wild man! They change so much in just 5 short months.

Matt is going to take Ella to see Alvin and the Chipmunks today. That should be fun for them. Ella needs to get out of the house at least once every day or she gets stir crazy! She is just like me!!

I am sure we will have lots of visitors this weekend. Jessi and Candi are coming out on Sunday so that Jessi can take some pictures of all of the kids for us! We couldn’t be more excited!!!

I can’t believe Connor will be a week old tomorrow already!!! Time just flies by!!

    Kiley’s 2nd Birthday!

    Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Today we are going to have some family over for Kiley’s 2nd Birthday! She turns 2 on January 18th but with Connor coming this week we wanted to make sure we had a special day for Kiley Bug! These past two years have gone by way too quickly! She’s doing her best to keep up with her Big Sister everyday and doing a great job at it. Some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth now is hilarious! Yesterday morning and today was all about Face Wipes! Too Cute!

Ella is home from her dad’s house and we are getting ready for the party. We have to run off to Wal-Mart to get some sundae toppings and ice cream, make sure Kiley gets a nap in and then prep for the party. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Hopefully, when everyone visits the site they will notice the new look. Instead of going with a baby boy theme, we went with an overall new look that suits Team Saip! We are going to put a focus more on video and photos on the new site. Look for additions coming soon plus up to date information from the hospital on Connor Lee Saip’s birth :)

    16 Days

    Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

We have 16 days until Connor is here with us! We can’t wait! Beth and I have been stocking up on winter clothes and have one more Babies R Us run to make.

Did you know it’s super hard to find fleece sleepers in the stores? They’ve already starting putting out spring clothes. We need to get a lot of little stuff like bottles, bath tub, bibs, etc. How quickly we forget about all the stuff a newborn needs!

The hospital visitor restriction is still in place as we found out on Monday with Kiley’s test. This means the girls won’t be allowed in the hospital when Connor is born. It sucks! Hopefully, it will be lifted by the time we have him. We all know it’s to keep everyone healthy but boy does it stink that the girls won’t be able to see Connor until we bring him home. I think Beth is going to push to come home on Sunday instead of Monday knowing her.

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and we will have a few friends and family over to celebrate. I love this night because it’s fun letting the kids do whatever they want for the night. Looks like John, Jill, Jake, Steve, Amber, Derrik, Mary, Mary’s Sister and their two kids will all be coming over. It should be a blast!

Check back soon for more updates!

    Merry Christmas!

    Friday, December 25th, 2009

Team Saip would like to take a minute and wish all of our Family and Friends a very Merry Christmas! This is our favorite time of the year and have had a great time thus far! The girls had a blast opening gifts from Santa this morning. Santa brought all sorts of fun stuff for them and they will be entertained for a long time!

This afternoon we are headed to Aunt Lori’s house to celebrate with Grandma Debbie, Aunt Lori, Uncle Joe, Uncle Rob and Aunt Sandy. It’s should be a great time!

I wanted to post some photos from the past few days as well. Enjoy!

    What a weekend!

    Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

It was another busy weekend for Team Saip!! Yesterday, we dropped the Pilot off for new brakes, had a dryer repair man come out to look at our dryer because it is turning blue, and had the girl’s new furniture delivered. All of this before noon while we cleaned the whole house and got everything ready for today’s festivities. The furniture looks so nice in the girl’s room. We then went over to Debbie’s house to help her move a few things for her new carpet to be installed (well Matt helped anyway). We stopped at a few more places and then went out to a yummy dinner at Del Torros. The sucky part was that we waited almost an hour for a table. Good thing Kiley was a trooper.

Today we had family over to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early. It was my second attempt ever at making a turkey (last Thanksgiving was the first), and it turned out well. I made Aunt Eve’s stuffing again this year, and it was so good! Everyone brought stuff, and we ended up with enough food to feed an army as usual. The grandmas brought fun Christmas ornaments for the girls to make for their new pink Christmas tree that Grandma Marsha and Grandpa Mark got for them. It looks adorable in their new room.

Matt also went to pick up the rest of the bedding that finally came in today. The baby’s bedding looks awesome in his room. I don’t think we even need to paint the room. Woo hoo! I was so happy that we got Ella’s bedding too for their first night sharing a room. Should be intersting in the morning. I am guessing that they will be up as soon as the sun comes up.

Tomorrow we have our 32 week Dr. appointment. I can’t believe we only have 7 more weeks from this friday til our son is born Crazy! Only a day and a half (2 and a half for Matt) of work this week,  and then we are off to St. Louis for a few days to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Saips! It is always a great time when we go there!

Never a dull moment around here! I might need to be carried up the stairs tonight considering how tired I am at this point…but it was worth it! We had another great weekend! Now it’s time to relax and watch this Bears game…let’s hope they can redeem themselves and pull out a win!
